Siwar Odeh
A youth activist from Tulkarm city, who has worked extensively with many youth and women's organizations. Odeh was engaged in several trainings focused on promoting the political participation of women and youth, and gender non-stereotyping. These trainings gave her the leverage to represent the voice of the youth on several different issues and to participate in a number of debates and accountability discussions; the most prominent of which was a dialogue session with the Prime Minister in which she voiced the challenges faced by Palestinian youth; she also participated in preparing strategic plans for Palestinian youth; in addition to various dialogues with decision-makers concerned with the needs of young people. As part of the “You Are the Leader” program, Odeh was nominated to play the role of the Minister of Women’s Affairs for one day, during which she carried out the duties of the minister. She also was chosen to be part of the general assembly of the Women's Center for Legal Aid and Counseling (WCLAC).
Currently, she works as a project coordinator at the Palestinian Center for Policy Research and Strategic Studies (Masarat), and she is also a member of the Youth Advisory Committee.
Odeh studied Banking and Financial Sciences at the Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie.
