The cessation of workers’ compensation (in a range from 20% up to 100%) will impact final household consumption expenditure, causing consumption expenditure to decline by as much as 15.9% in 2024 (compared to previous levels) if the stoppage is total and prolonged. This will lead, inter alia, to a decrease in imports of up to 10% and together impact through accumulated multiplier effects in the economy.
